Susan Be. is the stage name of singer-songwriter, poet, and award-winning social scientist Dr. Susanne Belarmino. Originally from Germany, she built a career at the intersection of research, technology, and social innovation, leading AI projects to support people with disabilities and fostering collaboration across research, education, and policy.

Music and poetry have always been central to her life. In 2022, she moved to New Zealand, beginning a new chapter as a songwriter and performer, alongside her husband, poet and visual artist JP Bell (Jaypee Belarmino). Their partnership inspired her intimate albums "Home" and "Love Letters" and continues to shape her creative work.
With a foundation in Northern Indian classical violin, Susan Be. blends indie-folk storytelling with structured improvisation. Her catalogue now includes four albums and multiple singles, offering warm, personal, and emotionally resonant music.

She performs across Canterbury in intimate venues and community events and collaborates with JP Bell for his exhibitions, creating immersive soundscapes and sound installations that complement his visual art.
